Deterministic all the way down
There is no model guessing at your politics. Each of the sixty questions carries explicit construct weights; scoring normalizes each axis to a −100 to +100 range; and your archetype is the nearest of twenty-one named positions in that space. The results screen shows its work: the top five score drivers per axis, your three nearest neighbors, and any cross-pressure signals (state-direction decentralism is a real and interesting way to land).
During the quiz, the axis names and construct labels stay hidden so the instrument doesn’t lead the witness. Afterward, everything is inspectable.
Calibrated honestly
The scoring went through simulation, stress testing, and a bias audit before the frontend existed, and the highest-voltage labels are gated behind explicit thresholds rather than handed out for spice. Every result surface carries the same sentence, because it is true:
“Politype is research-informed and synthetically calibrated. It is not yet scientifically validated on real response data.”
